Bangkok United’s representatives expressed the regret for not being able to recruit Vietnamese striker.
After the resounding successes of Vietnamese football in the regional and continental arena, Thai clubs want to recruit Vietnamese players for Southeast Asian foreign quota. Accordingly, Xuan Truong went to Buriram, while Van Lam moved to Muangthong United.
Another Thai League team, Bangkok United, is also active in transferring Vietnamese players. However, the Thai capital team Chanita Chandrasap admitted Bangkok United failed in recruiting a Vietnam national forward.
According to TrueID Sports, Chanita Chandrasap said: "Bangkok United really wants to recruit an attacking player of the Vietnamese team. Unfortunately, the discussion did not have a concrete outcome, so the negotiations must end. If we recruit someone, we want an ASEAN player. Now the team just wants to find players possessing appropriate style as the existing system"
Bangkok United is tergeting striker Nguyen Anh Duc of B.Binh Duong FC. Thailand's team sent an offer worth $ 80,000 for the striker of Vietnam, with the promising salary is 7,000 USD / month.
Some sources claim that Bangkok United's offer is very attractive. Because Anh Duc played over 75% of the Thai League matches in 2019 and helped the club to reach the top 3, the prize could be equal to the transfer fee for him.
Bangkok United is a giant of Thai football. This team once won the Thai League in 2006. In the last two seasons, Bangkok United was the runner-up of Thai League following Buriram United.
