Nội dung chính
SEA Games 31 đã chọn eSports (thể thao điện tử) làm hạng mục thi đấu chính thức với 8 bộ môn và 10 nội dung, trong đó tất nhiên không thể thiếu tựa game quốc dân Liên Minh Huyền Thoại (LMHT).
Năm nay, đội tuyển đại diện cho Việt Nam tham dự SEA Games 31 sẽ được chọn thông qua vòng loại quốc gia với 16 đội tham dự, trong đó có 8 đội tuyển tới từ giải đấu danh giá Vietnam Championship Series (VCS).

Kết quả vòng Tie-break
Do sau khi kết thúc vòng loại 2 cả 4 đội đều có tỷ số bằng nhau nên ban tổ chức đã tiến hành đánh Tie-break để tìm ra đội top 1. Sau 3 vòng đấu, SBTC Esports đã xuất sắc giành được chiến thắng chung cuộc và sẽ có quyền tự chọn đối thủ (SGB hoặc GAM) ở vòng loại 3 (playoffs).
